Associate Attorney

Jacob R. Elks joined Boyle Leonard & Anderson, P.A in 2024 and works out of the firm’s Brevard, North Carolina office. Jacob earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School. During law school, Jacob worked in the Veterans Law Clinic assisting low-income and disabled veterans and their dependents in appealing adverse VA decisions. After gaining admission to the New Jersey Bar in 2023, Jacob worked as an associate in an insurance defense litigation firm. Jacob gained invaluable experience handling first and third-party claims involving bodily injury and property damage in the automobile and homeowners’ policy context, while also gaining experience in real estate transactions and estate planning.

After relocating back to North Carolina in 2024, Jacob gained admission to the North Carolina Bar. Jacob now primarily focuses his practice on third-party matters in the commercial general liability context on behalf of policyholders. Jacob is licensed in New Jersey and North Carolina.

Jacob is originally from Washington, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and focused on international relations and security. In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing tennis, and exploring the great outdoors.
